I tried doing a search for this, but nothing substantial turned up.
Is there any way to change the automatic climate control panel's backlighting from green to another color... such as white? Does it contain little bulbs like for the instrument panel? ...so I could either remove the color caps or replace the bulbs with white LEDs? (If the latter, anyone know what size?)
The instrument panel is white backlit, and so is the backlight on my new head unit, but the buttons are backlit in red... white+red+green gives off this Christmas vibe that's a little irritating all year round.
I'm doubting there's any way to change the green LCD of the clock / temperature readout, but I can deal with that. (Although if a solution to that also exists I'm all ears.)

Update: I did find
this post by Netforcer in the DIY LEDs sticky, but it refers to the factory head unit. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the climate control uses the same covered white LEDs... which means it's "just" a matter of cracking open the automatic HVAC panel... if anyone has done that before (and preferably has pics).
