5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Have anyone here ever purchased HID kits on ebay? I just came across this store http://stores.ebay.com/Xenon-Superstore , and I was surprisingly shocked when I looked at the price. A HID conversion kit for only $59.98 shipped. That's one hell of a deal, but the price makes me think about its quality. The store looks pretty legit and has very good rating. So what do you guys think? Plz give me some advices! TIA
Also, would the Acura 17" rims bellow fit my camry 2007? A guy on CL sells them all for $390. According to his ad, tires are brand new with label.
It is basically you get what you paid for. I just order from xenondepot and they have good reviews from members on TN. There was another vendor, Mod Express who sold it at $140 but the quality wasn't good, according to some of the members. It is better to pay a little bit more so you don't have any problems to deal with in the future.

If you're going to do HID, do it right and get a retro. If you're going to do it half assed, cover up the squirrel spotters and get a quality kit. 4500K-5000K is ok, anything over that is borderline douchebag in terms of having a cool color rather than functionality.
I agree with itz4lanyo, U get what U pay for and I did go cheap myself and it lasted for 1 year per bulb. Anyway, like itz4lanyo I also get the Xenondepot and it hasn't been a year yet but it does seem better, brighter.
You might want to post the specs on the wheels and tires so that we can advise you whether or not they'll fit. Are you asking us to research this information for you?
Regardless, so long as the bolt pattern is the same and the offset isn't some weird number, you should be fine. Tire size, you need to keep the overall diameter to within 3% of stock for best results.

It's a matter of preference. Cost wise, that's pretty damn cheap and a nice improvement over the stock 16's. Would need to replace the center caps for sure though.

In the case of the original poster, he's clearly interested in the cheap things regarding his car. Ebay HID kits, TSX wheels with God knows what kind of rubber...

We need more info. Specs of the rims, tires size? One thing for sure is it won't be hub centric. Meaning the Acura hub bore is bigger than Toyota so you might need to use those Hub centric rings if it cause vibration issues.
Think of it this way, Toyota rims won't fit onto Acura because the hub bore is smaller than Acura. So now you gonna put Acura on Toyota so the hub bore is too big so you'll need hub centric rings to fill the gap. By looking at the tires, I think those tires are too small if you want to stay close to stock overall diameter. (Hence, it will make your wheel gap looks huge)

I did google its specs, but I couldn't find any. I probably didn't input the right keywords.
Nevertheless, I'm not gonna buy them. I'll wait and get something nicer
