Gen6 Steering Wheel Squeak/Buzz

Hi Folks,

I have an '09 Camry SE and it's recently developed this buzzing sound coming from my steering wheel. It took me a few weeks to figure out where it was coming from, after applying pressure to every panel *except* the steering wheel cover (horn).

Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, how can I fix it? I'm afraid the dealer will ignore it, since the sound is intermittent. I think I might have a chance of fixing it if I knew how to take the cover off... then I could put some felt or something behind it.

Any advice/assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-G

I have the same problem, but I can't get it to happen all the time. Seems to be worse on cold mornings. Not sure what it is.

This problem exists on my 07 Camry as well. It is definetly more evident on cold mornings and during the winter. Did anyone discover a cause or fix for it?

Bring you5r cars into the dealer. If it is a common problem (lloks as it may be) they will get a TSB on it.
