I got one of the plate lights blown out. I never had to change them since the purchased the car. seems simple enough, lift up the trunk hood, unclip those plastic screws and pull out the inner lining and replace light bulb. i never did it and have not started it yet. has anyone here done this job yet? i will go to the shop and buy the part.

Watch when you pull out those plugs, they can break easily or "stretch" to where they won't go back in tight. I replaced my tail lights and went through that and had to buy a few new plugs.

thanks brother, what is the best way to do it? pull them out straight wise? or shimmy them?

dude, make sure you replace them with LEDs.

damn nice ass ace =] where you purchased those LEDs? the reverse lights look really bright unless its just the camera

Toyota Service told me to "shimmy" them out gently...I haven't tried it again. Does anyone else have a better thought on getting the plastic plugs out from the trunk liner?
