5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Anybody else think the current SE looks like a fireman's hat on a hotwheels car???
Ever since the '07 hit the streets, I just haven't been able to see past a visual flaw in the SE models. It's not the ugliest car I've ever seen, but....it's definitely an eyesore for me. In trying to find a good analogy for it, first I saw this......
I don't know how else to describe it. The ground effects look awful to me and I can't recall a version that's looked as "snap on" since the late 80's Ford Escort GT. It's like an '07 Acura TL gone wrong.
2002 Camry SE V6 "Snow White" - She ate the poison apple and is asleep until April.
1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT Limited "Grimhilda" - Geared Up For Winter!!!

Yeah, this guy is definitely smokin' some shit.....
I don't know what he's talkin' about, but yeah, the current generation Cam SE -- and the previous generation for that matter -- have pretty sick lookin' stock kits...it's the reason I bought mine!
BTW, What is up with those links? Like the other member, I feel like I wasted twenty seconds of my life too...
Yeah...like the LE looks better than the SE? Okay...
At any rate, I don't think the SE is "ho hum" in the least, especially from certain angles and with certain accessories like the TRD rims and tint...
About he Ho hum, I was just following Njerald. About the SE, I don't like the add ons that much, I like the clean and simple look, like mine. Just wait until you see my new wheels and springs.

I like you! Showed up out of nowhere with the fireman's hat theory.
Well that's okay if that's your thing, but I just don't see the LE's plastic wheel covers and elimination of body cladding as "more attractive"; I cringe when I see base LEs on the road...but if you're swapping out things like rims for aftermarket ones, well then I'm sure your LE will be smokin...
wow this thread is going nowhere fast....
i find the 07+ SE to be a most attractive car....i fell in love with it the moment i saw it myself...i also do not get your analogy sir....firemans hat on a hotwheels? come on now...
