5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I bought my wife a 09 Camry LE back in July(im strictly a f-body man). I promised pics so here they are.(yes, i am lazy, lol) Plus we bought a house and have been pretty busy with that.
The wife wants:
-Tint
-Se or TRD wheels
-Subs/Speakers

I put the clear bra myself and cost me $87 for the 3M 12" roll (enough for hood and side mirrors).
it is not pre cut so you have to cut it yourself.
its is simple, you only need new (sharp) razor blade and soapy water.
it is exactly like tinting your windows.

Isn't it also require heat gun? or at least hair drier?
no heat required in my install.
just make sure the car is clean and spray soapy water and slide the clear bra there.
You have to move fast to cut the plastic so you can still adjust the plastic if you make mistake (don't let the soapy water drie up until you finished cutting it to follow your hood edge).
I used bug rubber eraser to push all the air bullbles out. and after all dried up, use small needle to poke the air bubbles if you have some there.
So far the bra has been on my car for 2.5 years, no problem, no bubbles or yellowing.
feel free to ask if you want to know more. it is really easy.

thanx guys. a installer quoted me $500 for the clear bra. i need to come up with the funds because i think its worth it.
i kno there are a bunch of wheel but the wifie likes the trd's. i donno what we are going to do yet
Get the second generation Ventureshield film, not the 3M one. Omega Tintwerks in Pleasanton is pretty good I heard, and they charge around $600. My friend had a custom kit done with Ventureshield on his G35 and it looks excellent, but he went with Premiere.
