Peach's horrible day :(

I'm at school. I have back to back classes from 8:00AM to 2:00PM. like literally back to back.

I walk 20 minutes back from my class to the parking lot... I see my car, and I see its beautiful front mount. I wanted to slap that ass.

So I got in my car, undid my sunvisor thingy, and put my key in the ignition.

click. click.

NOTHING. The starter just clicked...

So I'm like CRAP! Because its 2:30 and I have work at 3:30. So I'm not technically freaking out, but I'm just really worried. I keep turning my car. Nothing happens.

I don't have a set of tools on me, so I just wait looking stupid.

Then this guy in a crappy 1996 VW golf comes by. the nicest guy I've ever met. He asks me if I needed a hand.

We take apart the terminals and clean the corrosion off. Still no start. Then we clean the terminals even more and tighten the nuts and bolts. still no start. Now clueless, We take out the battery and wait for 20 minutes. Still no start.

At this time, my cell phone is dying because I've been texting my girl (i'm a guy btw rofl). So I get my work's number and tell them I'm going to be late. They said to come in at any time because I'm freaking super sexy.

I decided to go to kragen to get jumper cables... I hop in the guy's VW. I asked him how he knew so much about cars... He said let me show you.

He steps on the throttle, and its basically the fastest car that I've ever ridden in. He's running 330 HP to the wheels untuned right now. damn fast VW... he lost traction in 1, 2, and 3. crazy stuff..

We go to kragen to get jumper cables but they don't lend it out.

So we think its the starter, so we come back to my car and dismount the battery, take off my intake to get to the starter. We unbolt the starter. Then with the starter, we go to autozone which is 15 minutes away.

We go get the starter tested... Its FINE.

I'm really annoyed right now, and its about 4:30PM.......

We go back to the parking lot, put back on the starter, put back on the battery.

click. no start.

Now its 5. I undo my terminals again, and rewire everything and make sure my HIDs and alarm and every cable is done.

click. START! IT STARTED! It started like nothing happened... weird...

btw, riverside was 103 degrees today.

I was the happiest guy... I thanked the guy who stayed with me for over 4 hours and drove me everywhere. I'm going to a car meet with him soon :]

What a day.... I got to work at 6:30. scheduled for 3:30.... crazy...

Anyone had problems with their car turning over? This is the second time it happened in a year, and the first time it happened, my car wasn't turbo.

This may sound crazy, but occassionally my car will not start because I do not have the clutch pushed in far enough. I'm not saying that I don't have it pushed at all... I'm not that idiotic (most of the time) what I mean is that sometimes my car seems tempermental with regard to how far I've got it pushed. Like sometimes I've really got to bury the clutch pedal for the starter to engage. I've been meaning to investigate where the switch is to see if it can be adjusted. Sorry for the threadjack, but maybe this could be a similiar reason to why your ride wouldn't turn over. ?

Have the dealer check it. I don't know if it's still under warranty..

Mine did that a few times, 1 click, then it starts, rarely though, and I think it has something to do with my alarm.

that sorta threw me off too... and i'm pretty familiar with the IE- his region...

anyways, that problem is even weirder. i'd check the main electrical components, like starter, coil pack, battery (already done i assume), alternator, and whatnot, and maybe get down to the relays, fuses (if any are loose or whatnot), and aftermarket wiring. i'm stumped on this one.

or you can just blame it on gene.
