Well, I guess it's made that way, and there is nothing can be done to change it, it's the computer that's confused.

The DBW system on the Camry really isn't that bad, when I had my intake installed I could almost instantly hear the sound of the throttle being opened up, so there's something else that is also causing the delay between putting the foot down and the car accelerating.

If I push gently, then it's fine most of the time. The only time I notice the throttle delay is when I mash the pedal into the carpet. I had the clutch out completely and the car was going idle speed already so it's not like I had slip due to a torque converter.
