I'm taking a wild guess, but I'd say the asians owners are the one with the white SE on the right, and the white LE.

Speaking of the transmission flare problem, guys, do you know if it's been solved completely by Toyota?

Does it still appear on the 2009 V6 models?

My uncle is looking at upgrading from his 1992 Gen3 Camry.

Yes I made that statement because I experience it on my car. The OP problem seem to be similar so I threw this statement out to verify if it is the same problem.

Someone did say they experience the flair problem on their '09.

hey im Chinese! woot!

and Phat Royale, i dont think Toyota has solved the issue but as long as its still under warranty, u should be good =] i got mine fixed after going to the dealership 3 times, there is still a small minor flare here and there but nothing like b4 so i dont mind

to the original OP, if ur in the regular drive gear and u just suddenly slam or accelerate real fast and hard the car needs some time to shift gears to do what u want it to do, thats the flaw of having a drive by wire(DBW) feature, and quite frankly, thats what most of the manufactorers are going for these days cause it saves gas and its "hi-tech" in other words, u should be good, if its doing it when ur in the sports mode, no clue, shouldnt id say

well, I took my car to dealer yesterday (10-7),and they reset my transmission learning mode. anyway, the problem isn't solved yet. when i try to accelerate the car kindda delay 1 or 2 seconds before it's accelerating. It's only happen on highway speed right at 2200 or 2300rpm

reseting the ECU will make the car be familiar with your driving habits. i noticed that my car has been picking up fast now. i did waste alot of gas at first but now im slowing down a lil.. i did push it alot for the 1st 4 days. only got 24 MPG with that. but now im trying to accelerate below 3.5k rpm!
