Gen6 Lexus LS460 & Toyota Aurion similarities?

I know its a big stretch considering I'm referring to the Australian Aurion which you guys dont have. But someone may know or have advice...

Just wondering, with the similarities between alot of the Lexus & Toyota range.....does anyone, by ANY chance know if the Lexus LS 460 is similar to the Aurion??

In particular the rear bumper & bootlid. Looking at the pictures they look fairly close but in real life it could be a different story.

My main reason....I really want quad exhausts, but the cut-out on the Aurion is just on 5" wide, so I'd only be able to fit 2x 2" tips in there with a bit of room between and at the sides so the bumper doesn't melt...a pretty tight squeeze & thats not even taking into account them being double-walled tips so the overall tip size would be 2.5".

If the Lexus bumper lines up correctly (somehow doubt) then I'd get a scratched or used one from ImportMonster, get a lip where the tips will fit, get it resprayed and whosyourdaddy. At worst (and cheapest) I would order the lip, remove the Sportivo one & put that one on instead. The lip in the picture below looks like it will fit dual 2.5" tips easy.

Some pics of what I want it too look like & the rear end of the LS460....

My other reason...Dont like the Sportivo spoiler, not a huge fan of the duck tail from Ebay...and came across this one, looks pretty good but I dont know if the bootlids are the same.

Pic...

........... And another reason. I realise that because they have different headlights, bonnet & grill - a front bumper won't fit. But if the width etc. are similar then I was thinking of getting a spare Aurion bumper, cutting it half way between the bottom of the grill & the lower grill. Then buying the LS460 bumper with a lip and cutting in the same spot...do some plastic surgery and make it all smooth...

Example pic - yes I know the colours dont match, doesn't blend - its just a quickie to see. On the upside - the line where the fender meets the front bumper was the same & the wheel arch matches including the flat edge.

Obviously anything is possible with customising, but I dont have $$$$$$ to throw at it so the less I spend the better. The front will cost a bit to do, I understand that.

the LS is a full size sedan so i dont think theyll fit, but with $$ anything can happen

It won't fit, because the Aurion's body size is the same as the Camry, and the Lexus LS is bigger. It's like comparing a Camry and a Corolla.

Small (Corolla/Civic) - Mid size (Camry/Aurion/ES/Accord) - Full size (LS/Avalon?).

I don't know where the GS and IS belong to.

Maybe you can, with a lot of money, but I don't think it's worth it, and I don't think the outcome will be as good as the factory.

I don't know about the GS, but the IS is surely a SUBcompact. Have you ever tried to squeeze yourself into one of those things? In the front you're basically shoulder to shoulder with your front passenger.

I'm 6 foot 1 inch and I CANNOT sit in the rear. My legs won't fit in behind the front seats and my head hits the roof.

Sure it's fast and handles well, but small cars suck!

the IS is a compact, pretty much in the same size as a corolla or a bit bigger only.

believe it or not, the GS in length, width and height are almost the same as the camry and the ES. i was side by side a few months ago with the 3gs and it seemed like we were sized on, got home and checked the specs. they may be different by only a few mm in length.

the avalon is not as big as the LS i believe, especially since the avalon was never really sold in japan either. the avalon can pretty much be close to the size of the current toyota crown athlete which is smaller than the LS

What makes the GS stand out is wheelbase is 2 inches longer than our Camrys.

.............Aurion Sportivo SX6 ....... Lexus LS460
Length (mm) ......... 4825 ................ 5030
Width (mm) ........... 1820 .............. 1875
Height (mm) .......... 1470 .............. 1465
Wheelbase (mm) ......2775 .............. 2970

The only important one from above is the width - car can be as long or high as it wants but in the end I just need the lip to fit on the back & the front should be find with some slight customising.

EDIT: Thanks for the heads-up on the GS Lexus...the width matches the Aurion exactly (1820mm) and the rest of the numbers are similar. Luckily for me they have the same style of aftermarket front bumper available...but no rear bumpers that I can see yet...
