Question Gen5 DRL or High beams??

ok, this may seem kinda dumb, but i'm a newb, i got a gen 5 LE, Are the drl and highbeams the same bulb? cuz i was about to get some silverstars for the drl's and and i was so confused since in the manual there is nothing about seperate drl's, but they're in the same place as the high beams....aznJ=

hopefully u guys can understand all that gibberish and get what i'm asking

Yes. They use high beams for DRL, just at a lower output.

Does anybody know how to turn the fog lights on as an additional set of drl's. I've seen the some people on the some web pages running relays and just wiring it up but i don't know much about relays anybody done?

That helps me so much! I've seen numerous Gen5's around, some with lo-beams on, some with what look like bulbs in the hi-beam position on, and I've been so confused about it! Thank you!

is the silverstars really that good for the white lighting? i heard it's not really that bright and not brighter than stock bulbs. also does anyone know much about mtec, i heard that it is a lot better from other's opinions; they're affordable/cheaper and also japanese made.

I have 9005 Silverstars and there's def. a diff in color. As for brightness, do the 9005 swap and everything will be dandy. They don't look ricey at all, very white.

dont expect the silverstar's to look white when using the DRL's... the lower wattage makes them glow orange/yellow like OEM.

i was kind of afraid that would happen, does anyone kno how i could get the DRL's to be white/blue-ish too? or maybe i should just drive around w/ my highbeams on all the time...
