Gen6 HELP! Broken screw while changing air filter.

I bought a K&N air filter for a 2008 Camry I4. I was unscrewing the 2 screws/bolts on the cover of where you put the new filter in. I turned the screw counterclockwise and the screw came lose.... or so i thought.... after I put the new filter in and tried to screw the cover back on, the screws wouldn’t screw onto anything. so i looked at the screws and the screws are broken. What do i do??? how much to repair? can it be repaired?? Right now the cover is being held down by a brass wire that i have kind of bent to hold the cover down. Anyways the broken screw is in side the screw socket and i seriously don’t know what to do.

I know that to unscrew a screw you turn it counter clock wise. could this be a problem from the factory?? THis is the first time iv tried to unscrew these screws. What could have happned??
Please advice. I can provide pictures or any other information needed to solve this problem. Thanks

those are actually bolts. 10 or 11mm i believe. what do you mean by broken? was it cut into two or did it loose its thread?

Were they hard to unscrew initially? What did you use?

well the bolt broke into 2 pieces. the top half i have on my beadroom dresser and he other half is still loddged in the bottom half of the filter box. I did do a seach and heard of people being told by the dealer to either replace the whole box or simply just getting a quick fix somehow getting a new bolt in its place.

"
the dealership is lying to you, my air filter bolt broke in half (the other half was still lodged in the lower part of the air filter box) they got the other half out some how and put a new bolt in its place. no ordering of parts of any sort"

to be exact. can someone give more insight on how to just get the quick fix without replacing the whole box??

thanks
