Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
The LEDs are on when the key is turned to the on position regardless of the headlight setting, I would like to be able to have the LED's with no other lighting except fogs if possible (when car is started the damn stock DRLs ruin it!). But for now take a look... enjoy.
i tihnk they might look better on the bottom part but nonetheless, they're hot. make a DIY i would totally do this
Hehe yea I've heard this a lot, main thing is my led strip is not long enough to go all the way around the bottom unfortunately, secondly I have to take off the head light assembly or bumper to properly install it, and personally I like it up top :P

These are 2 strips of 33 leds 1 cm apart, you can see the separate leds in person and they look better without the blurring but not quite like the Audi R8 because they are closer together on mine. The pics were taken really quickly but with enough messing around I can get a pic showing each separate led like I did on part I with the blue LEDs. I'm considering blacking out every other led so it looks more R8 ish.

Thanks for the compliments!
I'll see what I can do for a DIY, I want to make sure mines good and everythings fine before I do one though. I'm pretty close to finishing it I think.
wait, so the LED's are on the outside of the headlights?
You got it, sits in the gap between the hood and the headlight.

anyway, it looks great!
They are 1 cm apart, blacking out every other one might better achieve the r8 style. Or if you can find further spaced out strips.

Patience! Took me a while to find the right power source to tap, through trial and error I finally found the perfect source, the fuel injectors :P, I tried the dome lights/horns/accessory. I found most of those were always on, the fuel injectors are powered as soon as the key is switched to the on position started or not. I'll take some pics for a rough DIY sooner or later.

LED's on cars will typically outlast the car, they produce cleaner more efficient light than any other technology which is why some of the higher end car manufacturers such as Audi & Lexus are now using them. Not sure how to disable the DRL's without disabling the highbeams since they both use the same bulbs, I might even just disable them.
