ok i already installed the lamp it self. the covers etc. the thing is i dont know were to wire them to. it came with an independent switch that i think goes on the socket below the coin tray..

these are the ones i bought from ebay.

Gen6 my reply

There is a diy with step by step instructions with pictures on a black gen 6 that is very clear do a search.

I installed them and the switch stays on in the engine compartment and the relay is wired to the lowbeam fuse.

I put the switch and relay in a baggie and taped it up.

Works great !

Hope you found it.

I put the relay and switch in front of the battery under the plastic guard for a much cleaner install.

Ghettotastic. Seriously, WTF? A baggie? The relay is most likely a Bosch model designed for external mounting, and you don't need the switch if you're going to run them off your lowbeams.

Gen6 My reply

Dear Junior

I live on a boat 52 feet long not near the ghetto.

While the relay may be designed to be weatherproof it is not a Bosch but a lower quality unit the switch is definately not waterproof and there are multiple wires going to it.

I could cut up the harness and redesign the circut I was not sure if later I would run the harness through the firewall and use the switch.

But thank you for your input.

nope. get a different switch and run it independently. Because there will be times when u want to turn on ur fogs without lowbeams. btw, get a different switch. that switch cracks easily with heat. Give it about a week before it starts deteriorating.

ha shoulda txted me or whatever i would of have helped u and showed u what i did...

1stly i had the fogs tapped into the low beams so whenever the lowbeams are on, the fogs are on, simple procedure, soldering involved (for good secure support)

2ndly, after itching to make things OEM, went out and bought the XLE/SE headlight stalk with fog switch, bought the fog relay, installed everything myself and BAM, good as new, a LOT brighter than the 1st procedure and i get to use the factory fog harness' that came preinstalled w/ my car, was very pleased
