Hey guys, has anyone had a problem with a rattle noise coming out of the dash? I would say its close to the speaker/speedo area of the dash. After working 16 hrs driving home hearing a rattle like that I want to fix it with a .40cal. If anyone has had this and fixed I'd really like to hear how.--Jeremy

where exactly? where on the dash? right side? left side? middle? upper or lower? i had mine coming from the right upper

I had a funny rattle that drove me crazy for months on my 05. It seemed to come from everywhere, I'd bring my head (and ears

to the right and it seemed to come from inside the dashboard, if I went back to normal position, it seemed to come from the right door. I'd touch or smack everything to see if it would stop, to no avail. The worst of it all is that it was an intermittent rattle!
Finally, one day, while it was rattling I grabbed the lever at the bottom of the rearview mirror and moved it a little..... I could not believe it! the rattle stopped immediately! It was the damned rear view mirror, and the thing being hollow inside, it amplified and sent the rattle in all directions. It is gone now.

Its coming from the top left dash, kinda think its around the speaker.

one last question: describe the sound? what sort of sound? high pitch? low pitch? blunt sound? on a scale try your best to describe the kind of sound?

Has it always been rattle? If not has you fix something right before the rattle start?

I have a rattle in my rear panel. It started to rattle after the dealer replace the back speaker (it's a gen 6 so not the same as yours). They have to remove that back panel to remove the speaker so I assume when they put it back they did something wrong. I still haven't hunt down to exactly where and what or why it rattle.

I would call the rattle metal like in sound. I happens or I notice it a lot on the highway. I haven't had anything done to the interior, however I did have the driver side mirror replaced. That was months ago and didn't have any issues after the repairs were done. Besides that the car is stock. Thanks for your replies, I might just tell the dealor about it next time I go in.
