5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
These pics are about 3 yrs old when i first got the car painted (from dark blue to pearl white) for a show. I got 3rd place, lost to a damn honda. And before anyone makes a comment about the chrome dubbies, in my defense they were free. A wheel company (whom I will not disclose) mistakenly sent them to me when I ordered a set of 18z. They were originally for an Explorer, but I made a few mods and they wound up fitting like a glove. Enjoy:
And here are some of the parts I've been stockpiling until I can afford another paint job:
Cross drilled brakes
Ceramic Pads
SE Headlights
Smoked Fogs
knock-off trd logos
rs grill (aka poor man's sportivo)
10" dropdown to go with 7" flip out
last but not least, the o.g. replacement hubcap for the one that got jacked off my ride
My struts are in need of replacement. I've got 60K miles on my cam and am dropped on S.Techs, when I first dropped the car, the ride was pretty smooth. Now, with age the ride is becoming more and more harsh. The Universal Air bags that I am an inch away from whoring myself out for, slide over the stock struts (front), just like changing out springs. Check out the vids on their website.
yeah, uni air is a bag-over type of suspension. they can be combined with either stock struts or aftermarket coils.
going with a coil/bag-over setup will allow one to drive low and park lower
Hey Moky, (sick-ass ride btw) if you were on air you could start picking up fat chicks!!! Come on bro, equal opportunity-big girls need love too..... They just need alot more of it.
Dude, at one point I took off the kit (gave the cam to my sister) and I was trying to sell it locally. I was offering 400 for the kit, 70 for the grill 40 for the eyelids and no one wanted it. I forked out over $1200 for everything including the eyelids and lip wing. No one wanted it for 400!!!!!!Oh well, I guess in the grand scheme of things it worked out cuz I got the camry back, with a few additional modifications (missing foglights, cigarette burns in interior, etc) and now I'm in the process of bringing it back to its former glory.
But Anyhow, I'd definitely PM you if I decide to give it up again.
BME, that was a solid analogy dude LOL!

Thanks Indomi, that's quite a compliment coming from one of the hottest gen 6s on here. I remember not too long ago you were trying to get the AIRRUNNER right? At any rate, the slam on your cam is jawdropping. Love the color combo you've got going too. Very sick!!
