Gen5 05 camry se v6 gas pedal sensitivity

Is it only my car but is the gas pedal really not sensitive. What i mean by this is that i need to actually press the pedal instead of lightly pressing on it. Maybe toyotas are designed this way or there is a fault in my car. Could anyone please clarify. One more question is there a way to make my gas pedal more sensitive?

note: im not talking about transmission lag .

This is normal. It is because of the DBW(drive by wire) system. It is not connected via a cable to the throttle body butterfly plate like older cars. The pedal is electronically monitored and gas is supplied by your ecu based on how quickly and how far you push the pedal.

In short, it is normal. Because you have the V6, you may be able to bring it in to the dealer to have a TSB done. You can find it through the search function.
