tried waxing it off by hand but it wouldnt go away, guess i can try buffing it out, if that doesnt work, does anybody know where i can jux buy the cover lens, i dont want the assembly, dont need it, all i want is the glass cover
and with that in mind, does anybody know if i can buy the factory adhessive glue for the headlight assembly? or anything close to it?
ive ebayed the headlight but couldnt find just the glass, looked up trademotion but they have the entire assembly as well n i dont need that
on another note, for those who went out to the junk yards, how did u know they got a 07+ Camry in their lot? did u call? website? or jux got lucky? i want to go to the junk yard n pick out some parts but iono where there is a junk yard around (i kno i gotta look it up)

post a pic of the scratch. I think your just a little over reacting a bit. It's probably not a big deal but its enough to bug ya. If you get another cover eventually more shit is goign to happen to it. I think you should jus take some time and clam down kinda before you spend alot of money on a headlight to get rid of a scratch. Im not trying to be a dick or anything, i might sound like it but this kinda shit happend to me before but i just let it go and now its not a big deal any more.

why are you using wax to try and get a scuff out. use some polish to do so.. i would start off with plastX to try and get it out first. If not, leave it. Unless its a big scuff in the way of your light beam, its not that big of a deal.
You can't just buy the front cover because it's part of the headlight assembly. If you had one of the actual glass lenses it might be possible, but almost all headlamps use polycarbonate now.

yeah i understand, and no i dont think what u guys are saying is harsh or anything. It doesnt get in the way of my low beam, it doesnt really get in the way of my signal light either but that's where it is, ill post a pix
i was using the Meguair's Scratch be gone kinda wax, it was just a little experiment, if it works it works, if it doesnt ill worry about it later and went inside the house
mainly why i want to get rid of it is cause I kind of got this OCD thing where i want things to be nice and clean ya know lol especially on a car, where im spending thousands of dollars on
another reason why is cause it gives me an excuse to take apart my headlight and clean the inside glass cause my headlight got retrofitted and it has lint all over the inside (cause it was being cleaned by a cloth). that pretty much bothered me and that is why i asked about the headlight adhessive

you can easily get that scuff out if not with polish you can use the headlight restore method with some wet sanding and buffing it'll take care of that for sure

That will take some sanding, a buffer, polish and a person that has done it before. You can't take it all out and you will lose the UV protection layer when you buff them. That will mean polishing every 4 to 6 months until you replace them.

Nope, it's polycarbonate. It provides weight savings and I think has better light transmission than the headlamps with glass lenses, those ones with the ridges all over (those ridges point the bend the light in the desired direction rather than the reflector). Also polycarbonate lens allows for more free form designs and more resistant to breaking.
no, it happened last night and whenever i got home, i jux tried using the Meguair's scratch be gone thing and it didnt work so i just went inside n wanted to deal w/ it later but MrsoHoo stated to use Meguair's plastX so ill try that and if not then i guess i can try restore by sanding it down and buffering it
which type of sand paper do i use?
and if it removes the UV protection, is there a substance i can use to restore it? maybe tanning lotion? i kid but ill go to my local auto zone n check out what they got
thanks guys!

oh yea i didnt mention it
i hit my friend's car trying to park next to him, got too close >.<
he has a white civic si hatch (EP) so thats where the whiteness came from, his car is cool jux some minor stuff but my bumper is bad = / not that bad but a lot worse than his

From your pics, it looks like it could be sanded and buffed. If you haven't done that before, you can cause more damage than you fix. I'd recommend letting somebody look at it that has done it before.

Or you could just live with it...
question:
say it does take out the UV, if i was to put the laminex or the weather tech protector lens, would that help as to act as a UV protector?
