Should I trade my DD 2003 camry for 2 240sx? Good trade? both 240sx are 5spd and run fine with no problems. This would be a straight trade. Thanks for the input guys.
Camry:
-auto
-No mechanical problems or electrical
-A/C
-102k miles
-Bone stock
'92 240sx coupe:
-s13 blacktop SR20 swap ~45k miles on it
-200k on chasis
-Stock parts
'93 240sx hatch:
-Stock KA24DE with 220k miles
-Cusco Coilovers
-HKS hi power exhaust
-SSR meshies
-Nismo power brace
-Adjustable suspension (ie. camber arms, toe arms, tension rods, etc...)
thats up to you and what your needs are. Since everyone puts different values in different things. If both of the 240s run fine, im sure with some work they can be reliable. I mean, you dont want the cars breaking down when you least expect it. Have you had the cars checked out by your mechanic of choice?

Seeing how I used to be in the Import scene pretty hard in my younger years I can tell you that those cars are reliable IF taken care of, with that said, how many owners had the cars because as I'm sure you know 240's are prime for Drifting and if thats the case that motor has been pounded on hard.

It could also be a good side hobby to fix it up and stuff.
Its all fine and dandy on the screen to us but you're the only one that can make the decision. You see the car first hand. You will need to also know the background of the car as well as who was driving it. Was it maintained? any previous problems? if so, what was it? There are many factors when it comes to buying used cars.
A granny can have the most cleanest and be the worlds safest driver but if she doesnt maintain the car, it will go to shits. Someone can pound the car and put it through its max but if he knows maintains it regularly, it can work for many years.
Also, would you have to put extra money into it such as body work, paint as well as condition of the car. As others have stated, get the cars looked at by mechanic. Could be "gravy" (good) on the outside but "rotten" on the inside that you wouldnt have known.
I dont think there is a true answer to this or anything usually like this. You'll always gets mixed answers. In the end, you make the decision anyways. We're not the one driving it. We can all say go for it. You buy/trade for it and the car craps out on you 2 months down the road and costs $3000 to fix. Who's going to pay for the repairs? Not us.
the car is actually my friends. And he just got the SR20 swapped in like a month ago. He does drift it tho but does maintain car as he DD the 240sx hatch. I have a nissan 300zx and dont mind working on the nissans as i've had it for about 5 yrs now. If i do the trade, i plan on selling the SR20 swapped 240sx and keep the hatch. Thanks for all the input guys.
There has to be a catch tho... 2 240's ... he has to be in the tuner scene but he wants a CAMRY. Honestly that would be the last thing id want if i was into more sportier cars. I dont know its up to you but they are older cars...
also not sure about cali but i know the 240's are known for the frame rot... well here in canada, not sure how much salt+snow there is in cali but you should be fine
