My dealer put pin stripes on while I was signing the paperwork inside, sneaky, sneaky. I noticed the added stripes before I drove off and promptly had them remove that junk from my brand new sky blue pearl '09.
BTW, this is my first post here on TN. I've been lurking for a while and have learned a lot.

Welcome!
I'm curious; did they try and charge you for one more thing, or did the dealer think this was an "extra" you'd like?
My last car was from dealership that was fanatical about pinstripes on *every* vehicle they sell. I made them itemize the final bill, and refused to pay that portion of it. (and the "rust-proofing" among other things )
They didn't try and charge me for it, they apply vinyl stripes to every car on the lot when they arrive, mine was delivered earlier that same day and they didn't have time to get it off the truck and stick them on before I bought it.
They thought I was crazy when I told them to remove the stripes, they couldn't understand why I wouldn't want them adding crap to my brand new car.
Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah I took mine off as soon as I got home with the car and noticed it.
Just lifted the end of the stripe a bit with my fingernail and peeled it off like tape. It's so new that it didn't bond or anything so it came off clean; residue and scratch-free.
Yeah, but you dont really need it. I had mine on for four years and believe me -it was on there good. I just peeled it a little with my fingernail and slowly and carefully peeled it off. It will break if you try to do it too fast. After I got it off it was covered in residue, so I cleaned it off with a rag dipped in gasoline (I know, I know) and promptly washed any gas off with water. It took me about 40 minutes total.
