as far as i know mass air flow sensors don't make noise...Being as they have no mechanical parts to even make a noise.

Do they have a secondary flap that opens up under certain throttle opening like the Gen 6? A leak at the vacuum actuator would cause a high pitch noise.

N.E.O.

have you touched the intake box recently?

reason i ask is bc whenever i took my car into the dealer to get my injectors cleaned out and throttle body cleaned at 35k, the mechanic broke a piece off the top of my intake box (near the clips, at the edges) and whenever I accelerate it whistles. I didnt know what was going on at first so I never really checked it out but noticed the broken piece and its too late to mention anything about the mechanic breaking it so i just duck taped it. Stupid me but cant complain now, no use for that...

just a thought...

but yea ur MAF shouldnt make any noise cause its just a sensor, no mechanical work to it at all....try identifying where the sound is coming from, around what general area

have you noticed any poor performance whenever u noticed the sound? check your vacuum and intake hoses for any leakage

i don' t think mine is a noise that is normally noticed but i think its just the air trying to be sucked through the stock intake and through the KN filter....its very quiet but idk if its the same noise

well i had a custom short ram and it was very loud then and i got tired of it so i put my stock intake box back on and hooked everything up as far as i know all my hoses are nice and tight. i do have a KN drop in but ive had it for a while before the short ram and no noise like this. i am missing one of the bolts for the top of the air box but i zip tied it down so there shouldnt be anything leaking. idk what else to do :[[
