CD Player Won't Play (2005 Camry)

I am unable to find any info on this problem (I only find people who CAN'T eject their CD).

I have the stock CD player (not a JBL) and when I turned on my car one day, the screen said error and spit out the CD. When I put a CD back into the slot, it flashes LOAD on and off for about 30 seconds and spits the CD back out.

The radio works fine. Anyone have any recommendations on how to get it working (short of putting a new CD player in)?

What error code was it that you have? The explanation of the codes are in the owner's manual.

I have tried different CDs. I have tried burned CDs and I have tried retail CDs.

The first time it happened, it seemed like it flashed the word error, but it didn't stay on the screen long.

It doesn't say any error now, it just ejects the CD.

The laser mech is probably dying or is dead. In all honesty don't even waste your time with it, either put an aftermarket head unit in or ebay yourself a Toyota head unit.

My stocker has an odd fault where it won't read cds when the unit is cold, but after a couple of minutes it works perfectly. If it gets too bad I'll just replace it.
