Ugly orange in Gen5 lights

Soo.... has anyone tried to pry off those ugly orange reflectors in their Gen5 headlights yet? and if so, have any problems with holes being left behind? I was just contemplating.....i hate that unsightly orange....

Actually this isn't a common Gen 5 question because the corner lense isn't independent of the headlamp. Since I'm the guy who cleared out a Gen 5 corner lense let me show you a picture:

this is from Khanh's Gen 5 Camry, this can be found in that link that was posted above but I wanted to point out this picture for a reason:



I had to take the front lense off of course, then once you do that it's fairly simple......you just pop the orange bezel off, there's little notches were it snaps in place and you just stick a flat head screwdriver in there and pop it. But you have to be careful because it's easy to scratch the chrome.

as far as it looking ugly.....if you replace the clear bulb with an orange bulb, then it looks OEM.....but any other color looks weird, ask Khanh.

hehe yea i put in a really bright orange bulb, and it looks great...make it jdmish

How do you remove the headlight lens from the headlight housing and then what do you use to reattach it and keep it watertight?

maybe you should try the APC titans (i have those on my camry and solara) they are chrome, and look chrome and silver..when lit up however they are amber...they are not DOT approved tho...
