Rubber thingy - to firm up springs

I dunno the exact term...but a strong peice of rubber stuck between the coils of a coil spring to firm it up and reduce sag....

what is called?

where can I get one for gen 5 and howmuch? (better be cheap!)

I wsa thinking that might help with the rear spring sag with 4 people on my Gen 5 (2002 xle).

Not sure if I can put it for the front too and increase stock spring stiffness

Thanks for help posted the thread.
These cushions came with 2 different types: Rubber and Urethane.
Urethane last a lot longer then rubber but of course cost more.

Did you get this exact one in the link below, I guess not ? You mention 140 bucks, this one is just 8 bucks

RING-TYPE COIL SPRING STABILIZER

Can I put this between the coils of my stock rear springs?

I don't want an increase in height, just to prevent sag when loaded with 4 people.

Can I also add it on the front to frim it up? Any adverse effects?

Here is here the cushion sits on my car. The one from jcwhitney looks like it made from rubber which doesn't last. I think it will raise your rear height a tad but it will prevent sagging for sure.

Gen5

i had some installed on my 04 a while back. a had a problem with my rear tire rubbing in the wheel well when i would take bumps at high speeds. at first it did raise the height of my car but after a while they just setteled in. they basically kept the spring from compressing all the way to their usual level. out here they were pretty cheap though. i bought them for about a dollar a piece.

they use spring rubbers in NASCAR to stiffen up the suspension for better handling and turning in corners...
