Finally, when I disconnect 1 of the battery terminals, will nothing happen after I remove the front-driver/passenger seats?-- I don't want the air bags in the seats to explode or anything on me..

Leave the battery disconnected for at least 90 seconds before your start disconnecting any harness plugs to the seat.
If the the above is done, the airbag system is off. When removing any airbag electrical plugs don't apply any power to the plug. The airbag has an electrical squib inside it.
Only reconnect the battery and turn on the ign key after you have reconnected all the airbag electrical plugs. If the ign key is on the system will trigger an error code and not work, this even after the airbags are reconnected. The system would then need to be reset.
I didnt disconnect the battery when I did mine but I'm sure it's a good thing to do for "extra" caution. Hog Rings and pliers can usually be had at a Marine Supply store (boat upholstery, lobster traps, etc). One of the biggest things is take your time and smack/stretch the leather as you go along.
I found a couple little write-ups via google when I was planning mine and they gave me the basics. For the most part you can just figure it out as you go along, just give yourself plenty of time.
If you can't find the hog rings and pliers locally, I can sell/ship you mine (I have way more rings than you'll need) $25 shipped.
Good luck and any questions just ask.
Zack
p.s. I would start with the back ones to get the feel of it so that you'll have it down for the fronts and theyll look nicer. Also when Hog-Ringing them dont do it too tight or else it will look "pulled" to that one spot.
Yeah I second that, would love to see the katzkin pics. Did you install it yourself or did you go somewhere to have install? If you did yourself, how hard was it and how long did it take? If you went somewhere, how much did it cost? Thanks! How much were your seats in general?
i searched and saw this thread already, but obviously it is not the SE kit. If anyone has the Katzkin leather for the SE model , please share!! Thanks
?? what do you expect to be different? it will fit the SE seats just it does fit the none SE seats, they are custom made for each....but same material choices, stitching choices, 2 color option etc...
