I've got HID's on my pickup and I haven't noticed a huge difference in visibility of the road itself but the HID's light up road markers and street signs a LOT (IMO)!

From another driver's point of view, I notice cars with HID's more so I'd say it makes your vehicle more visible as well.

And, of course, there's the cool factor.

hey death god,
i would say the lower kelvin scale outputs give greater visibility imo
i have 6000k and its a lot nicer than stock halogen.

i drove my friends car that had 10,000k blubs.
it was horrible, it was like driving with BLUE LED's

That is right one. You will happy with the output since you pick the 5000k.

yeah I drove with really blue 8k's that were closer to 10ks but it really strains your eyes and it makes you tired easily.... also it depends the point of getting hid even though they'll argue any hid color is still brighter than stock halogen.

anything 6k or under is good!
