No that is definitely not normal. My 2.4 manual gen 5 gets around 9L per 100km on 91 octane (about 10.5km/L). From memory the auto uses about 1L/100km extra but that's still not even close to what you're getting. Perhaps ask to have the O2 (oxygen/ Lambada) sensor checked.

Another thing; where are the Middle Eastern Camries built? Are they Australian?

Gen6 We gettin Arab money!

On my recent trip to the Middle East I uncovered the elusive "GL" Camry.

Camry's every frickin where. Some of them have a Toyota emblem hood ornament that sticks up on top of the car like Mercedes. I tried to get one and a GL or GLX emblem while I was there. I also inquired about the side markers. No luck though on any of it. I think there is a language barrier. They had no clue what I was talking about and didn't seem to want to deal. Benefits of being a white guy in the Middle East I guess :-/

They may be able to help you here?

Call Khaled distributor @ 0540574014. They offer a lot of accessories for the Camry in Riyadh and could probably point you in the right direction if they don't offer it.

Then again this might not work at all...
