Gen5 knocking noise when braking

Its been a while since i've been on TN. so much has changes and everything looks great~!

Now, my reason for posting..

About a mth ago, i started hearing a knock coming from the rear of the car ('03 Camry SE) when applying the brakes (noise only came sporadically and thought it might have been something stuck the wheel well)

More recently, this knock is becoming louder and coming more frequently. Funny thing is that i replaced both rotors and pad earlier this year. I currently have 97k and remember replacing them somewhere around 60-80k.

Anyone have thoughts on this? Appreciate all the help and its good to see TN is still powering on!~

One of your rear brake pads probably separated from it's backing plate. You need to pull off the rear calipers and check to make sure you don't have a broken pad flopping around.

Have you checked your motor mount? The knuckle piece located at the left of the motor. Mines actually WASTED and so when i apply my brakes i get a knocking sound.

bad motor mounts can cause knocking in the rear of my car? or are you getting knocking on the front?

BTW, you car is damn low. do you have any issues with steering and such? i feel that since i've replaced stock springs with the Tein's on my car, steering isn't as great as it used to be. Since replacing, i've had a wheel alignment, but still doesn't feel as responsive and stiff as it used to be.

I resurfaced my front rotors at one point which i thought created the knocking noise in the front of the car. Since then, i've replaced all 4 rotors and pads and no longer get a knock in the front... but now get a knock in the rear.

^ oh wow...u replaced all 4 rotors? how much that cost you? hopefully its not my rotors because i only got them resurfaced once . if i have to replace them....its gonna be bank! since I need the money for some KYB struts since i got the tein S springs to lower my car. replace ATF fluid because its black and nasty. I want the sexy bright red color! and I SO want the RS grillie as well for my gen 5.5. I need to find out =\ so any suggestions as to what i should do? maybe check whether if anything is loose would be a good approach huh?

a buddy of mine owns a shop in Brooklyn and he specializes in Lexus/Toyota. he replaced all 4 rotors + pads for somewhere around $350~ i don't remember the exact number..

i also have my stock struts on my Tein S springs.. they seem to be fine so far..

mighty-mart, i have a 2003 SE I4 with TRD springs and KYB GR2 struts...my steering feels loose and numb, the car rides OK...not great but almost as well as a stock SE, but the suspension knocks over bumps and makes a ton of creaking and squeaking noises....it handles amazing, but if i had to do it over again, id never lower my car

as for the brakes, i dont know what to tell you....i have all oem brake parts on my 2003 SE, and its on its third set at 67k...no knocking noise from the brakes
check the pads and make sure everything looks intact, and check how clean the brake fluid is

So my parents brought the camry to my mechanic and he's told them that the rear rotors are a little thin and may need replacing. I checked my information and saw i replaced all 4 rotors last October.

is this possible? i'm not the only driver of this car so the other drivers might be braking hard... (if this matters)
