5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
For the older guys just looking MPG info. I just bought an '08 Camry (I4) with 10,550 miles on it. First tank= 32.8 mpg at 65 mph with about 90/10 highway/city. Yes I took it slow just to see what it would get if gas prices go out of sight again. Great thing about the Camry is if you slow down the MPG goes up considerably. I went ahead and put a few more tenths of fuel in, otherwise, the MPG figure would have been 33.2 to 33.8 MPG. Not bad for a good size car. I'm happy and relieved. Some of the MPG info on TN had me worried.

Hi folks! My '97 V6 still averages 30-31.4 miles per gallon combined Hwy/City. Uses no oil (Mobil 1 synthetic all its life) Of course I drive constantly between 65-70. I also have 80 miles round trip to work ( at a local college). Take care!

I get 23 in town and 31 on the highway. 06 SE i4 here. And I still haven't done anything like a tune up since I've had the car. It has 119k miles and I bought it in June at 109k.
