It was gloomy out today, perfect for some fog n xenon pics even though my car is not washed.
I finally got around to finishing up the installation for HID and Fog lights on my 07 LE. My first real posting. I'd like to say praise to all the DIYs out there. It really takes much longer to post some of this stuff then the actual install... This is far from a DIY... I just took some pictures before and after the install and am also includding part numbers and the price I paid. I'm sure you can probably get even a better deal by shopping around. Hope this helps some of you out there. Thanks.
For reference I ordered all parts online... ebay and parts@myautoimportcenter.com
Jeff is the person that helped me out, as usual.
Ok...The Fog Lamp Trim 5212706040 & 5212806040 for $7.69 each
Right side.
Left side
Each Fog Lamp 8121006070 and 8122006070 are $116.24 each
I didn’t pay this amount, as I got each lamp separately from ebay. Total for both with shipping came out to under $50. I had to be patient though, with the auctions.
My left fog lamp is Made in USA
My Right Fog lamp is Made in Belgium
Supposedly the Yaris also uses the same part number
2 Fog Lamp Screws 93567A5014 at $.51 each
Just need 1 per side.
I also ordered a few retainer Clips 9046707201 are $0.98
I misplaced a clip here and there when I was under the car removing the two plastic pieces. I couldn't resist including my scale model in the pic =)
Now onto the real Deal.
Installed 4300K kit with relay harnesss. Wanted to keep the subtle look, not too blue.
Fogs installed.
My car was prewired with OEM fog connectors. However I decided I didnt' want to go through removing the steering wheel and then installing the stalk for now(this might be a future mod) But I did want the fog lamp assembly to be OEM parts. I ended running a full harness for the fogs. Comes on with the Low beams. (Fogs will always turn on with the Low beams on, the above first pic was taken with the fog fuse removed)
Now that the Fog are on, my 4300K look a little more blue, kept the OEM H11 bulbs in the fogs.
I'm happy with the setup for now.
Finally a day pic before the fogs... this pic was after a wash and wax, just for kicks.
My ES350 wheels. Yes a drop would look nice but need to $ave up for that!
A few thousand dollars if u had the dealer installed.
My dealer asks for ~$700 (parts + labor). It's still expensive.
__________________ 2008 Toyota Camry LE I4 - Modifications as if they come with the car.
- TRD wheels, TRD suspensions
- OEM replica navigation with iGo/Tomtom/...
- Folding LED signal side mirrors with JDM control switch
- HID retrofit headlights with S2000 projectors and Denso ballasts, fog lights
Point is, nothing is worth it going to the dealer to get stuff installed. U'd be better off buying a car with it already installed or do it urself. I saw my dealer has aftermarket fogs kit for $300 parts only. It's aftermarket boys, like ebay, not OEM. For $300 plus tax.
Looks good man the wheels look real good on that car too. I don't know if the part number is the same but I added after market fogs on my wife's 09 Rav-4 Limited and its the same exact light. She traded that in for a 2012 Camry and I haven't been able to confirm but I think from pictures its also the same lamp so it looks as if its a in house favorite.
