I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience terminating their lease early. I am going to call my dealership at the end of the week just looking for some input before i call them. thanks

Don't be surprised if you have to pay what you agreed to when you signed the lease. It's all in black and white......

I wonder if i am better going with the swap-a-lease website to get out of the lease. Seems like a legit website

Correct, all you have to do is come up with the remainder of the payments minus the residual value and you are golden .

LeaseTrader.com is a good option as well. Generally you will have to "sweeten" the deal for prospective buyers, ie cash and pay for the transfer fees.

Read your lease. It is a binding contract for both parties. Pay attention to how many miles show on the odometer. In addition to all the fees you agreed to for early termination, if the lease is for say 36 months, 36 k miles, and you are at 18months and 24k miles, you will have to cough up for the overage, or you can park it for 6 months and continue paying the rental fees.

Someone should link this to the thread that touted the benefits of a lease.
