Gen6 Buzz Buzz Buzz goes my panels (stereo)

I have the OEM JBL Stereo in my 08 SE (BTW, not a n00b, I just can't remember my user name - it was like Black08SEV6, but that wouldn't work...)

I was considering upgrading my stereo, but my OEM stereo buzzes my door panels and rear deck so bad that I can imagine a more precise speaker would be just as bad, if not worse when I really push it.

Anyone else have this issue? It sucks and kinda pisses me off...

...though, on the other side of the coin, few months and I'm getting rid of the Camry. I'm pretty dissapointed in the car.

Yes. I have the JBL and I have never come close to full output before the panels start vibrating. You could probably fix it by adding more insulation/damping material, but I'm not sure how (I don't want to damage something in the process). Maybe someone has attempted this?

Put some dynamat, it might help. Or you can add some padding stuff.

More bass = more rattles

I thought about dynamat, but if I'm in there, I might as well replace stuff, and that just snowballs and creates expense. Again, getting rid of my car and going back to my roots in April, so I dunno...some music I listen to I can crank it to 40 and never buzz.

yea, not worth the investment if you're only going to get rid of it, but if you do want to deaden, i suggest raam mat, raamaudio.com the stuff there is cheaper, just as good as dynamat, and rick (the owner) is an enthusiast just like us, good product, good customer service. he drives a tC

I used to be a studio engineer and while in the process of getting rid of the equipment, etc. I took some acoustic foam and stuffed the rear deck. I hated how the rear deck rattled. I stuffed under the deck and also between the seams of the side panels. Helped a lot.
