hey guys im new to the forums and i had a few questions about the 08 camry se i just bought.first i was wondering if i can install the oem jbl premium sound system so i can have the better sound and bluetooth. and also the vip remote start and alram system. if its possible to get these installed at the dealership after i bought the car and how much it might be. thanks
each dealer has their own install prices to be honest, you gotta go shop for those -- and with money, anything can happen -- the dealer will stand on their hands for enough.
I'd go to an aftermarket shop and get something better - and less expensive if i were you.

I think the OEM non-JBL is tuned pretty well for the Camry's cabin, of course JBL is better, but why spend more money? I personally don't like taking apart the dash, doors, etc. You'll end up with broken clips and rattles.

You got a 6th generation non-JBL system right? If so they sound like crap. Maybe my ears are too sensitive and I'm around better sounding systems but the Camry is not one of them. Toyota did not tune it, more like chose some speakers and headunit and threw it in.
Its no fun if you aren't taking things apart. Broken clips only if you don't know how and rattles will always occur.

Welcome to the forum! I also have a 2008 Camry SE and love it. I am however waiting to see the new Venza and see how it compares to the Camry since it's built on the same platform....

You can't say that.
It's like saying 4 stock hubcaps is good enough for driving already so why spend more money upgrade to SE rims or aftermarket rims!
Some people have to have the nice clean sound.
I upgraded my non-JBL stock speakers to JBL speakers and the different is like stock Halogen vs. HID
Btw, have you seen the stock non-JBL speaker magnet? It's a size of a quarter.

Well, it's good enough for me, and do you think the installer cares for your car when they install it? Probably some of them.
I just had a bad experience on my previous car, it's the biggest mistake of my life.
Hey, that's just my opinion, don't jump on me like I just killed a clown...

I didn't say stock is better than JBL, and yes, I've seen the magnet, but mine is OK, cause what I did is, I adjust the bass on the music files before burning it to CD. That'll do the trick.
Oh, and I never go above 30, it's just too loud for my ears.
The sound of the stock se speakers sound good enough for me but I wanted to upgrade to the premium so I can get the Bluetooth connection as well and I will install it at the dealership
I would not suggest the VIP remote start from Toyota. If you do a search on the forum, some users who have it installed have mentioned that the remote start cuts off once you open the door. If you want a remote start that doesnt cut off once you open the door, get a Viper/Python/Clifford or other aftermarket alarm/remote start.
i have a stock non-jbl. works wonders with my iphone + dice ipod controller. i dont listen all the time to high base stuff so i think it's good with my taste.. again it sounds good. it can be better..i dont really roll down my windows and turn up my sound system.
if you have DSP rip your cd's with it. sounds awsome! techno stuff/rap/rnb/rock.
i have to hear the JBL soundsystem!
