Camry keyless remote

Search engine isnt working for me right now. I was wondering if anyone has the camry keyless remote alarm (alarm remote and key built in one). Does it program? Quality build? Any problems with it? I am getting a basic viper alarm for $160 installed and do most alarm shops program the key for me?

If they sell you a product, it suppose to work! Is not it?

I think they will program a remote for you.

Viper alarms have their own remotes, I don't think you can use your factory remotes.

Duck tape the 2 to make 1.

I wish the OEM alarm always lock itself in 5mins though. About 10 times now I find my car unlock and I was sure I locked it.

Stop sticking your finger in my keyhole. It won't start the car without the encrypted code in the master key.

Ok so what would I have to do to have the viper alarm, but use the all in one camry key? Some people say I would have to go to the dealership

Never seen an aftermarket alarm remote be used on the actual OEM keyfob. Usually aftermarket alarms have their own remote. You can still use the original keyfob but if you activate the aftermarket alarm and use the OEM keyfob, the alarm will go off.

I'm not technical with the electronics of these but I think the aftermarket alarm remote and the OEM keyfob uses two different frequency, programming and setup. No information from Viper either on programming their setup onto OEM keys. Only thing I can think of is that the shop modified the alarm remote and original key (ie taking the chipset from alarm remote and putting it into the original key)

Yeah thats what I was thinking, taking the chipset out of the viper alarm remote, then placing in the camry remote key.
