Yes it's under warranty.

Just go there and tell them that you have a hesitation problem and you would like the ECM recalibration TSB.

There was a PDF file that i printed and brought to them but i can't remember in what thread it was try the search engine, if i can find it i'll post it here.

Im not sure if you have to bring it in, but i suggest you do so that they can't open their mouth and with that in hand they can't BS.

I think it takes about 1 hour depending on the waiting line. Mine only took like 15 min because my friend works at a Toyota dealer and he did it himself.

I suggest you find someone that works at a dealer and become good friends with them because it can help in getting stuff done quickly and no questions house and also some extra help after the warranty runs out ;-)

good luck

WHat do I tell them? It should be free under warranty right?
My '07 CE manual has no problems after the TSB for hesitation was applied.

When the transmission is very cold, it is a little difficult to shift into second, and even downshifting into first at less than 5 mph is tough. Once warm, it shifts perfectly.

Toyota still makes MT Camrys - check the Toyota website. When the 2010's come out, I'd bet they will still be available with a MT, because the new 2010 Fusion/Milan still has a manual available.

hmm i coulda swore the 08 canceled out the MT. I used the have that problem with my old civic, except it was the opposite. My 2nd and 3rd gear syncros were messed up, and shifted smooth when cold, but when hot *horrible noises.
