Clutch adjustment or replacement?

2002 LE, with 100K miles, 5 speed manual

The clutch seems to need to be pushed down further than before to shift and to start. Seems you have to push it all the way to the floor.

Question, is there any way to adjust it so the engament point is higher. Or is this a symptom of a worn out clutch?

Check the clutch master cylinder fluid level, and check for leak in both the master and slave cylinder. The clutch is self adjusted, and usually as the clutch wears it will engage higher off the floor.

The fluid level is fine...

When I start it, I have to push the clutch all the say to the floor, it seems even more than before.

Should I replace this clutch? It doesn't seem to feel as smooth as before.
What's the best clutch I can put in?

No, no, no. You aren't getting it. The clutch is the mechanical pressure plate and friction disk that needs to be seperated when you are shifting. You are saying that it is hard to disengage the pressure plate from the disk and flywheel. The clutch master cylinder has failed and is allowing fluid to go by, or the same has happened to the slave cylinder, or you allowed air to get into the system. If there is air, likely there is a reason, and that reason is likely failed seals that need to be replaced. None of this has anything to do with the actual clutch. I'd start by bleeding the slave cylinder and assure that there is no air in the system. Beyond that then it is time to rebuild the slave/master cylinders. Also before you go too far, look for any fluid leaks that would hint at where the failure has occurred.

OK, now I see the light. I wasn't aware that there is a master/slave cylinder, I thought there was just one MS.

What do you mean by "slave cylinder", is that the same the same thing as "Clutch release cylinder" that the FSM talks about?

I will start by bleeding the system first.

P.S. The 2002 Camry 2.4L/ 5 speed has 105K miles.
