5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I own a 08 Camry V6 SE full stock, which comes with semi yellow/white-ish default lights and I was thinking about getting some
6k HID headlights. But I researched around and all I can seem to find is DIYs and stuff, but my one of my family members is a mechanic so I dont have to worry about that.
I'm not really sure what to get, and the dealers didn't really answer my questions, they just wanted me to buy more for installation when all I wanted was the bulbs.
Can anyone recommend some nice HiD 6k headlights? I saw a brand called like "Halo" or something, seemed very questionable.
I'm going to start modding my car, starting with headlights first so if anyone could please
-Recommend white 6k HiD lamps
-white foglights (HiD?).
And I don't know if I need a kit or something since my car is quite new but again people have been telling me I don't but the dealer (not toyota) has been saying I do.
Any tips for a newb? :P
Greatly appreciated :] i want to save money to buy like struts and suspensions ;_;
Jokes aside. Use our search engine, it is riddled with information. In short, go register at hidplanet.com and read the university section. The instant you understand you will have SUPERIOR output, cutoff, width, etc, with a retrofit, you will want to do a retrofit. If you must, cover your squirrel spotters and go w/ 4300K from xenondepot. Run a relay harness and you are on your way. Also, if you do not know what a squirrel spotter is, use our search function. Welcome to TN.

Wow thanks for the quick responses.
I'm a car enthusiast but when it comes down to actually doing it to my own car, I'm a bit unsure
and I didn't want to just walk in, slide my credit card, and be like 6k White lights please .
I will definitely read up on "How to get 6k HiD lights".
Glad you are willing to search around for the answers bro. Remember, just say no when it comes to putting xenon in your fogs, it WILL blind people. Do not put HIDS into any reflective housing, unless it is a D2R setup, once you know what a D2R setup is, you will know better.

Welcome to TN thats for first. Second if you want HID's go with 5000k(better than 6000) or 4300k( I'd go with 5000k).You can buy it from xenondepot.com or ddmlights.com( the second one offers life time warranty and is on sale right now).And like cosism recommended get relay harness.For fogs you can get Mtec or Nokya( some members here got Mtec and are happy with it).
