5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Ok my friend that I chill with every other day got a new 2009 red corolla S this monday. He keeps on telling me how its better than my camry. He says my car looks like a limo, and the inside is too plain. I havent seen his car yet, he was going to bring it today but it was raining and his parents didnt let him(we're seniors in high school). He says he will bring it on friday. Do you guys think an i4 camry can beat a corolla?

Reason: no street racing discussion
Well, the driver is the one who drives the car, you see. So as long as the driver can properly shift the car from Park to Drive then he is one step closer to being a good racer. Another thing is that the driver must not apply too much gas as the wheels are likely to spin uncotrollably, being an i4 camry in your case, and the tires might blow. Finally, there is this saying called "reaction time." What it basically means is the time it takes you to react and engage in the racing.
P.S. I hope you race on the track and not on the street like a real douche.

street racing is highly illegal and highly dangerous. keep it legal, keep it safe, stay on the track and stay alive
dont discuss street racing of any kind here...im tempted to lock this thread but ill let it slide for now...
as for some track figures...
the corolla XRS will walk any camry 4cyl, the V6 camry will waste any corolla, and the 4cyl camy vs 1.8 corolla is a toss up based on driver, condition and which transmission each car has...the corolla has less power but is much lighter than the camry...
