Fipg Alternative

I'm looking at replacing my water pump.
Is FIPG worth the $23 or is there an alternative?
I was looking into permatex "right stuff" or they have
a sealent for water pumps. Others had mentioned ultra grey.

Thanks
Mike

You get what you pay for.

IMO when it comes to the engine, i only use top of the line parts.

I didn't think you could still get FIPG. I thought it was taken off the market. I have a friend who is a former Toyota tech and he swears by FIPG and complains it is no longer available. Where did you locate it?

The black (# 00295-00103) is still available for $9.45/tube + shipping at on-line Toyota part dealers.

Newer Toyotas use a different product.

FIPG is still on the market. I have some in my toolbox. I can go to my dealer right now and get some. Wonder why your friend says its off the market. FIPG is some of the best stuff i have ever used. I used some permatex black high temp silicone and it was the closest i hav e ever come. i wouldnt use grey.....it works, but it isnt as good as FIPG
