5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
My question would be, would a regular harness work, I bought a harness for a positive switched car. I have heared that the GEN6 Camry is ground switched.

All cars have rubber tires so "no ground". No idea what u r asking.
all cars have ground circuits that ultimately run through the body of the car and the ground terminal of the battery. you should be able to buy a regular switch just so long as you wire it up the right way. all the switch does is complete the circuit to make the item it controls work. toyotas work off ground circuits. so the switch is aleady grounded, just add the power.(that may be backwards, but you get the jist of it)
so just know what terminals of the switch are ground, power, etc....and you can wire it up.

Thank you Cody,
I have a positve ground harness, and read on HID Planet that I can reverse the main plug. Thus plugging in the harness backwards.
Thanks again guys
