rattle

Sup fellers, I got a lot of rattle coming from the rear of my car when im bumping it. But its just very noticable rattle. It comes right between where my rear speakers are. Im pushin a 13w7 so it thumps. I plan on getting fatmat sound deadening for my license plate, and trunk kit. Do you guys think this will solve the problem? And when im thumping it, you can see the plastic just vibrating like crazy and rattling

its obviously the problem. You answered your own question. If it vibrates when your sub hits.... yea.

You may need to sound dampen the whole rear tray, underneath the plastic cover, to stop the rattling.

Well the thing is, sometimes it isn't the case. I been into car audio for awhile and have worked on other cars...But this specific part of my car rattles like crazy, even when im just hittin lows. Probably will have to go under that plastic...Some of my friends have w7's thumpin in their accords and such with no sound deadening material at all and I hear no rattle. I ask that because alot of people have rattle probs with their gen6 camrys, thought this was an issue, not a issue because of the sub.

hey before i recommanded fatmat but after having it for a while it suck. the fatmat is thin and on hot weather it tend to fall off, i just check my trunk today after and it pretty cold too and it not sticking good.
i said buy dynamat. i use dynamat for my trunk lid and it is good, very thick comapre to fatmat also it bond very good, no slip or falling off.

buy a pack of dynamat trunk kit. one sheet is like 2 layer of the fatmat. it cost more but well worth it.
