tire cupping

i am on my second set of tires at 30000 miles on my 2007 camry.the toyos lasted about 15000 miles before i had to ditch them from all the noise.the dealer gave me a 50% discount on a new set of sigmas.they have gone the next 15000 miles before the cupping has ripped them up too.alighnment has been checked every 6 months to prevent this.now i dont know what to do.the sound drives me crazy but there is a whole lotta treadwear left.the dealer ship cant seem to find out what is wrong.he has not mentioned any discount on another set.i have had these on for about 18 months.any help would be nice.

are you driving an SE? If so they are V rated tires, check out the tread wear, you probably are suppose to get about 15K out of them. Also high performance tires are noisy, it is a trade off. Maybe you should look into luxury tires...

yes its a v6 se.the sigmas they put on are a touring tire but i got the same results.the dealership still insisted the rotation pattern should be the same as the directional v rated tire .the sigmas are h rated and can be used on both sides of the car.they said the tire wears better keeping the same tires on the same side by their experience.alighnment and camber check out dead on.

The biggest cause of cupping is due to the lack of rotation.

I would go to tirerack.com and check out the tires you have/had and see what people are saying about them. Make sure you read reviews that involve cars comparable or the same as yours.

For example, I was looking at reviews of the tires on my S2000 and they had terrible reviews, however once sorted by vehicle I noticed that S2000 drivers rated the 9/10, all the other vehicles were full size luxury sedans that were high performance, but not like the S2000 where the driver expects to get short tire wear and noise in exchange for handling.

There is a balance out there some where, I will do some research too and see what I can find.

sigmas are straight junk dont run that tire... if you want a good tire stay with michelin or goodyear.. The factory bridgestones are junk. 15k miles are some people need new ones. Run a little more tire pressure, 38psi all around...
