Installing 08 XLE leather seats into 08 LE - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Hello, been lurking for a while. Came across an opportunity to buy 08 XLE front leather seats. How difficult is it to install in a 08 LE? I noticed the cable harnesses are a bit different under the seats.

+1, i think it might look kinda stupid.

Do they come with the mounts? If yes, then just take the stock ones off and put the new ones.

I plan on using the leather kit on the rear seats. But, the XLE leather seats would be nice up front, allowing my 5'1" wife to see over the dash by using the seat height adjustments - no height adjustment is possible with the manually operated seats.

Seats fit perfectly in existing mounts. However, there is plastic coupling piece attached under the seats that connects the wire harness from the car to the wire harness on the seats. This is what I need to figure out. It seems to be a different coupling on the XLE leather seats versus the fabric LE seats.
