S Warning light ( Airbag / belt ) SE V6 2002 110KMI

The light started flashing after wife used my car for one day. She claims she didn't spill/hit anything. Manual says "see dealer as soon as possible". Manual also says "do not disconnect your battery cables before contacting your toyota dealer"

So, yestarday I disconnected negative cable from the battery for a minute or two. Didn't help.
I disconnected it again for a coule of hours - didn't help either

Questions

1. what could be the problem with the SRS Warning light?
2. If I keep driving with flashing light, will the airbag(s) deploy if I get in an accident?

Thanks!

get it checked out ASAP. Your airbags might not deploy if you are involved in a collision.

If the light is still flashing, you can pull the code yourself, then you will have some idea what maybe causing the light to come on.

N.E.O.

still having this issue ocasionally

Old post but I decided to post an update in case someone else has this issue.

even though this issue is sporadic, I think it has something to do with the wiring under the seat. The wiring is lose under the seat and unfortunately I don't have 2nd camry anymore to see if that's how it should be. When I unplug the plug and plug it back the flashing seems to go away, but can't say for sure. I turn off the ignition before playing with this plug and because the issue is sporadic I can't say if playing with the plug really fixes the issue. I taped the plugs and wire to minimize its' movement, so hopefully this issue will go away

Original owner may have taken this seat out for some reason and that caused this issue or may be something like a water bottle got stuck under the seat when I or my wife adjusted it.
