I was thinking about doing a remote engine start on my '06 LE and was just wondering...first of all, can this be done on the '06 model? If so, could somebody give me tips and directions on which way to go. I would preferably like to stay original with Toyota in having it installed (no aftermarket or third-party).

I don't think there's a Toyota OEM remote start for the gen 5. On the bright side, at least your key isn't chipped.. That will make it a little easier. If you have to go aftermarket like I think you will, I highly recommend any line from DEI but you have to go to a good installer.
