Eclipse BEC-106 Back Up Camera

for those who have installed an eclipse bec-106 back up camera in their camrys... did you have to use the full 40 ft length of cable?

the license plate camera i recently bought does not come with a full length cable... so i need to either buy or make my own. i'm also planning on running power to the camera on a separate switched fused line so that i can use the camera whenever i want... so it would be good to know how much wiring is enough. thanks in advance!

yea id say the 40 would be way to much. That is like 2x+ the length of the car

there was alot left over but i just folded the liner back from the trunk and tossed the rest in there after it was all wired thru my car to the trunk but thers alot left o
