Gen6 08 Alignment/ Trans issues

08 LE Camry we bought new in the fall of 07. At 5000 miles I noticed the outside edge of the tire was wayyyy more worn than the inside. So they fixed it at 8000 miles(had to pay for tire rotation, but whatever). Well apparently they didn't fix it... I'm now at 14000 and have the same issue. Not as bad, but outside edges are wearing noticeably more than the inside. I'm going to call Toyota before I go to the dealer this time, but...

This is one of a few issues I've had. I swear I can feel the discs in the transmission slipping/chattering sometimes when accelerating from takeoff (this was supposed to been fixed also). I know I'm not spinning the tires..

It has a bit of a whine to it - similar to a loud power steering pump (sounds like a Ford PS Pump!). If it's normal that's OK, just want to hear if from another person for assurance. I might test drive a new one to verify this.

Has anyone had similar issues??

I don't have the problem with my car but no two are identical in every sense. If you have some paperwork that shows what the original alignment was and what it was after correction, take it back and tell them to tweek it a little more because if it got better it would seem that they didn't go quite far enough.

That definitely seems more like an alignment issue, rather then just rotating the tires. Almost any mechanic should be able to tell right away that it's an alignment issue, tire rotation shouldn't solve the problem at all.

Bring it to another shop to see if they have a different opinion.

They realigned it, just not enough. I had the tires rotated to get the rear tires moved up front (rears still had the tits on the outer edges).

Does anyone know if they camber is adjustable on this model? I'm too lazy to look at the moment, buy I will sometime tomorrow if nobody answers.
