Yes it is.
I looked in the "new model features for 2004" manual, and they obviously bored it. They also modified the coolant lines in the block a little bit, and changed the piston and the conrod. The cam timing is different a little bit also.
What else did they change?
1. Power seat lumbar button added.
2. Red colored coolant added, but no performance/life difference.
3. Tachometer - 6100 redline instead of 6200 RPM.
4. Added maintenance required dash light.
