Smile Picking up my Camry 09 SE tomorrow, needs some advice

Hi everyone.

First i want to say thank you for everyone that has helped me in the past, and to all the forum members you guys and gals have some sick looking camrys. Searching around on these boards was my deciding factor in getting a camry over a honda accord. People with camry tend to have such passion to work on there rides.

Everyone i need some advise. I plan to put 18" wheels and I decided on the
MOMO WRS 18x8 Silver. There is just something about that set i like a lot. link below.

http://www.momo.it/products.php?id_c...roduct=12&l=en

My issue now is what size tire to get with them. I am leaning on toyo Proxes 4. link below

http://www.toyo.com/docs/tires/tires...ategory=luxury

I intend to also lower the camry with h&r springs that some of you have which will give the car a nice aggressive look. my concern is that I dont want the tire to rub on the fender. it seems getting the right size tire and fitting is important. any help and advise on this would be greatly appricated.

Please dont flame me for lack of knowladge on this department. I seem to be getting different advise from friends and dealers and i feel that the people on this forum having it already done on there camry would be the best resource.

thanks again and looking forward to any advise given.

Awesome, congrats on the new Camry!

Good looking wheels, any idea on what's the offset for those? 18x8, you can fit 235/45/18 for a good replacement for OEM sizes. 225/45/18 would fit fine also.

With that setup, depending on offset, you should be fine.

Question

okay just a follow up.

the wheel measurements are 18X8 5-114.3 38S
I couldnt find ones with +35 or lower so i am not sure if +38 is a good or bad thing. seems that everyone tells me to stay with +35 or lower..

also which size tire would be best for this wheel.
do i go for the 235/45 or 235/40

any other size recommendations?will have an issue when i lower the car? i want to avoid rubbing.

from my experience i'm running 19s with 235/35/R19 I cut my fender in the rear with a dremel kit in case it rubs. There is about 2 1/2 fingers left of room to play with after dropping it with TEins. There isn't any rubbing at all except when i load up the back with 3 guys and going over really big dips. But other than that even with loaded people in the back normal driving and speed bumps has no rubbing If you're doing H&R which is a good idea since its a more moderate drop you'll have even more room to play with. Some guys on this forum even went with 20s and dropped it with Tein.

whoa very nice with 20" but its either going to be 18" or 19" the roads here in New york are the worse... taking the west side high i get scared man alot of patches and pot holes..

Lamson I am getting the V6. let me know tonight as to which tire size would be best. but yeah looking around these forums it seems the best springs to get would be the H&R. if it provides more room to work with then even better.

I wonder if MOMO makes them in 19" i doubt it though.

235-40-18 is 25.4" Diameter
235-45-18 is 26.3" Diameter
215/55/17 is 26.3" Diameter (Stock SE Camry)

I'd stick with 235/45/18 for best speedometer match up as well as better comfort. 40 profile would mean, slightly better handling, but slightly rougher ride. 45 profile is a bit better in the snow too.

+38 offset is fine.
