Question JBL CD player not working

Hi,

I have an 03 Camry and today I experienced something rather odd.

This morning on my way to work I was listening to a CD in the factory JBL CD player. I shut the engine down and did not specifically stop or turn off the CD. When I got back into the car to go home I notice the radio, not the CD, was playing. I pushed the CD button expecting the CD to pick up where it had left off and nothing happened. OK. I pushed the eject button. Nothing happened. The radio just continued to play.

It is still like this. The display does not show any error messages, all it indicates is there is a disc in. Which I already know since I did not take it out.

Now I cannot take it out. I am bummed. Any Ideas what may be going on? Do you think disconnecting the battery might help?

I am puzzled since the radio is working fine, all the presets are still there and I am able to tune it.

I have not tried the tape deck.

Any advice and or help would be greatly appreciated. I do not have much $$ to get this looked at. I would like a simple, no expense solution but this may not be possible. I would at least like to recover the CD the player is holding hostage.

Thanks,
jaycsowder
